Cochran Substance Abuse Treatment ServicesCOCHRAN GENDER-SPECIFIC SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT
SERVICES PURPOSE: To provide safe and culturally sensitive MI/CD treatment services for alcoholism and other substance abuse/dependency in a structured atmosphere of care, acceptance, respect and spirituality. PHILOSOPHY: Our philosophy recognizes that substance abuse is a disorder that affects all aspects of a person's life; physical, emotional, spiritual, family, social and that laughter is the best medicine to help heal the whole person. Our services are based on approaches from a number of perspectives and a holistic view that recognizes the whole person. We incorporate gender specific groups, family focus and cultural support all designed to empower and motivate positive change. We believe that humor is the cornerstone of life that trancends all cultures and is a time-honored way to both celebrate recovery and deal with the pain involved in healing. WHO IS APPROPRIATE?: Our services are designed for ages 18 and older, who have demonstrated an inability to abstain from chemical use on their own and have experienced physical, social, legal, emotional, economic or spiritual consequences as a result of their chemical use.
COCHRAN SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT SERVICES Cochran Substance Abuse Treatment Services is located in Building Four on the Veteran's Home campus in Hastings, Minnesota and is a division of Dakota County Receiving Center, Inc. We provide residential services for men. Our intake team is staffed by credentialed substance abuse disorder counselors who work with individuals and referral sources to carefully evaluate the level of care needed and make arrangements for admission to the appropriate service.
